:D Hey WVUFAN, The log was 28" when I rolled it onto the mill. There short like, 4 and 5 feet long but it's cherry and that seems to make up for it  8)

Do you process your wood further after milling? Please post some pics of the milled wood if you get a chance. Cherry is my favorite wood to work with. I love it when I get that first coat of sealer and the different tones are revealed. Then watching it deepen in color over the years if it's clear coated.

:D Hey Gary, I just air dry it, but most of the time, it gets gone before it gets a chance to dry  Thats a good thing. I want to build a solor kiln, have plans, but no time. Also that is another ball of wax by it's self. I have my hands full trying to stay on top of things at the mill and I'm not that busy. It's just that I am very limited on space here and it gets messy fast. I mill for a week,... and I clean for two, 8)

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing! Wood does make some mess. It seems like I spend as much time cleaning as I do cutting, also.
