:D Well, I'm finding out that building from the head doesn't work. Especially when there are more than one head doing the planning. My partner and I have come to a wall and the foundation isn't complete yet. I am now in the process of making up some drawings, while waiting for the plans for the sho...

Oh yes Robert, all of it makes since. I am building it extra heavy to show what can be done with the mill. All the post and beams are going to be 6x6 and lag bolted together with steel angle clips. Once the floor is finished, it will fly up. I'm even making the rafters at the post 6x6. Gonna be a h...

Yes I agree 100% Stan.

:D Ok, I am posting this so that folks looking here about having their logs milled, could see the difference between logs and what a sawyer see's as sticks (or this sawyer anyway). These logs are the best size for the most production on my mill. There about 24" to 28" except the small one...

:D Hey reprosser, You might find it hard to find someone to mill logs that short. But if it were me I think I'd saw it at 6/4 or 8/4. I don't think BW is real bad to warp, bow & twist. It being that short,... if it does do anything it probably won't be much or enough that you couldn't plane it ...
